Question 1

What does Naya Yatra Private Limited build?

Accepted Answer

Headquartered in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-15, Naya Yatra Private Limited is an engineering firm building digital ecosystems, Nepali computational linguistics, and civic hardware. Our portfolio spans naya.com.np, the official Pragya Nepali Brihat Shabdakosh app (100K+ downloads), Naya Paper (paper.naya.com.np), The Naya App, Myna AI for iOS, and technical R&D collaborations with the Nepal Academy and Impacters (WODES).

Question 2

How does the technical partnership with the Nepal Academy work?

Accepted Answer

In formal technical collaboration with the Nepal Academy (नेपाल प्रज्ञा–प्रतिष्ठान), Naya Yatra engineered the official mobile application for the 1st Edition of the Pragya Nepali Brihat Shabdakosh — bringing 128,000+ authoritative Nepali headwords to over 100,000 users completely offline, with zero advertisements, zero trackers, and a built-in feedback form to report missing words.

Question 3

How do Project Biruwa and Project Saathi transform agriculture in Nepal?

Accepted Answer

Developed through our collaboration with Impacters (an initiative of the Women Development Society, WODES), Project Biruwa builds low-pressure vertical aeroponics stacks using 3D-printed nozzles, IoT sensors, and AI disease detection — cutting water usage by up to 95% and helping displaced women farmers cultivate high-value crops and endangered Himalayan medicinal plants. Project Saathi pairs a solar-powered field sensor unit with a portable offline edge-ML processing unit and peer-to-peer mesh networking so smallholder farmers get real-time crop and soil diagnostics without internet access.

Question 4

What is the Sandbox STEM Research Grant Program?

Accepted Answer

Operated by our partner Impacters (impacters.wodes.org.np), Sandbox awards 6-to-8-month R&D grants to final-year undergraduate (B.Sc., B.E.) and second-year graduate (M.Sc., M.E.) student teams solving practical STEM problems in Nepal. Teams receive funding, hardware components, cloud resources, Impacters Lab access, and industry mentorship — while retaining 100% ownership of their intellectual property.

Question 5

How can our institution or business collaborate with Naya Yatra?

Accepted Answer

You can reach our engineering team in Kathmandu directly via email at info@naya.com.np, or connect with us on naya.com.np.
